Director of Ambulatory Access Analytics (AAA) Vanderbilt University Medical Center
Johnson serves as the Director of Ambulatory Access Analytics (AAA) at
Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), where Joshua proactively
identifies solutions and partners with Patient Care Clinics (PCCs) to eliminate
barriers and optimize patient’s ability to receive timely care. Prior to joining the AAA team, Joshua was an
Assistant Director in Care Connections, VUMC’s centralized call center within
Patient Access Services (PAS), where he led 75 personnel and served as the POC
for eight PCCs cultivating strong working relationships.
joining Vanderbilt, Joshua served 25 years in the United States Air Force
(USAF) leading operations and developing strategies that enhanced mission
effectiveness. Joshua led the largest
Aircrew Flight Equipment program in the USAF Central Command overseeing nine
organizations on three bases in two countries.
He brought his expertise in strategic planning and extensive scope of
responsibility to Vanderbilt to help build workable solutions.
believes in maximizing performance through proactive communication and
collaboration both internally and externally.
Joshua’s strategy is to identify opportunities to enhance organizational
effectiveness and help drive successful business outcomes by partnering with
PAS teams and clinics in pursuit of improving patient access to care. His operational plans includes being the
focal point for all “Access” related information enabling leaders to make
timely fact-based decisions.
